Just to say that I think it would be good to re-classify Scutchamer Knob to something other than 'Ancient Settlement / Settlement / Misc. Earthwork'. Maybe to Mound or Moot Point. Or maybe this is a 'moot point'.....

Welcome in!!! Don't know the place I'm afraid, but 'Moot Point' isn't an available classification at the mo - never come across it before - is it commonly used 'down your way'? The 'artificial mound' classification usually seems to signify summat bigger than I believe this place was/is. Which is I suspect why it's got 'Misc earthwork' stuck on it. love Moth

loads of barrows round here (Perthshire) are known as Moot Hills Moth. surely you've come across some of them! Cheers Andy

Moot Hills Andy? Yeah, I believe I've come across such a term! The term WF used was 'Moot Point' and it seems to be a different kinda manmade thingy that I hadn't come across before. love Moth PS Have you contacted the Moulin to warn them of the forthcoming pudding frenzy?
