Anyone see the story in last nights YEP, reckoning 'Yorkshire's Stonehenge' had been saved... from FARMING????!!! Wassat all about then? Complete bollocks or just a crap report? (Didn't get to read it properly....)

This is a very misleading article. The DEFRA/EH land management agreement had nothing to do with the "Ripping up Heritage" campaign and importantly, still sees the area around the henges being ploughed and planted - which is exactly the target of the campaign. The same land management agreement is also damaging the henges themselves, since the "ringfences" are over the ditches and the henge walls - the southern henge is particularly badly affected by this.
