Thank you so much for all this information. Extremely helpful. Can you tell me where I might pick up n Ordnance survey explorer OL35 map? I will be coming from Glastonbury - Is it likely I would find such a map in that town? Again - many thanks for your specific and very helpful information.

Larger branches of WH Smith tend to hold a good stock (Swindon, Bristol? not sure what your route is). Otherwise, in my experience, you'll probably have to get closer to the area to pick up a 'local' map...

Try service stations along the way. Usually they carry local stock of OS maps, so you'll have to try looking between St Claire's and the Preselis. Alternatively, Carmarthen is a good place to stop for WHSmith, Woolworths etc. It's on route from Glastonbury. Kammer x

If you stop in Carmarthen to try and find a map in town, your best bet is to park at Tescos. It's free, and relatively easy to find. K x

I now have a copy of White Dragon. Thanks for the pointer. There's also a Pembrokeshire orientated article in the current edition of 3rd Stone, but I'll save up the pennies before I buy that. Kammer x

The 3rd Stone article is interesting - about why the Bluestones were chosen to be transported to Wiltshire - them glaciers were damned clever ;-) G
