I'm off to see the Warlocks tomorrow (weds) night at the Roadhouse in Manchester. Anyone going?

Saw them in Southampton on sunday. Hadn't heard them before, sounded exactly as i expected but not bad at all. Felt it needed to be at ear splitting volume though, but it was surprisingly quiet.

Saw em' last night at Wolverhampton, they were OK. Kinda lagged/ meanderd in the middle, but the last 'jam' was great. Sound was KAK though (not there fault, shit sound engineer), just a dirge of bass and drums. Was nice and LOUD though.

Re: Warlocks! rocked!

Totally rocked. The sound probs were ironed out in the 1st false start stop start song. The 1st half of the set did overemphasise their midpaced velvets thang, but when they shifted gear it was proper brake-cable-broke-til-the-end rock n roll.
Great. They could be huge, could be a flash in the pan whatever - t'was a great gig.

Met a few members of the band after; a couple were quite fucked but all were appreciative of the audience.

Notices also for fine Wigan punk pop indie slightly oddball support Moco. Singer even had Copey like inflections in voice.
Also, one favoured a shade of brown eyeshadow not dissimilar to my own so that rocked too.

That looked like I was talking about Moco still.
Twas a couple of the Warlock dudes that had the eye sploog on..as well as the lady member...and as an eye sploog toting guy I was saluting their efforts in that department. That's what I meant...didn't put it very well.
