Where else can we find your writings aside from HH? Any books out there? Always enjoy reading your reviews here.

Thanks, man. There are two out of print issues of FUZ magazine, various magazine articles and liner notes but nothing of the bound paper idiom, I'm afraid.

You read any Angela Sawyer on Perfect Sound Forever? https://www.furious.com/perfect/weirdorecords7.html The A-Z from Armand Schaubroeck - The Zodiac via Liquorball, JT IV, Jim Shepard/Vertical Slit & Richard Meltzer & so many I've yet to hear.

This one looks good too, not sure if you ever listened to NOMEANSNO. https://www.amazon.ca/NoMeansNo-Obscurity-Oblivion-Oral-History/dp/B0BQMG55MS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=1HUB8HBRQHWE2&keywords=nomeansno+book&qid=1703960985&sprefix=nomea%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-1

Always saw their name in Alternative Tentacles ads but never saw their albums except for the Jello Biafra collaboration. They do seem interesting...What's this -- They formed in 1979?! Whoa. So far, the Sly book is hitting all the right bases. Lots of coy rejoinders to his own observations as well as plain English recollections.

So far, the Sly book is hitting all the right bases. Lots of coy rejoinders to his own observations as well as plain English recollections. Ordered both books. I highly recommend checking out NMN. Start with their 1989 LP 'Wrong', but their whole catalogue is killer. https://youtu.be/EuOiO2h3tqE?si=H5Wzm9cmyrrnUc3q Being Canadian, I saw them live several times in the 90s and early 00s, they were their own hybrid of punk, jazz, hardcore and madness. They closed up shop several years ago, but I think new reissues of their Alternative Tentacles LPs are coming this year. Also they had a side project called Hanson Brothers, which was in tribute to both Ramones and the film Slap Shot. It sounds goofy on paper, but they were able to play Ramones style punk in a way that no one else dared. This is their 1st LP from 1991 'Gross Misconduct' (the artwork being their take on 'Road to Ruin'. All the songs are about hockey, love and beer. https://youtu.be/8JrIY1kNH3o?si=VU0uHzMS2OAs31ww

THEY were the Hanson Brothers?! NO WAY I heard GROSS MISCONDUCT (1992) the year it came out when I worked in a CD store. Loved the art and concept because I love Ramones and I REALLY love SLAP SHOT (1977)! They couldn't make that film today. np: "My Girlfriend's A Robot" HAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAA

My brother and I were standing about 15 feet from the stage, watching the band playing the instrumental opening of "Total Goombah!", when all of a sudden a dude shoulder checks my brother from behind, storming toward the stage. My bro shoves him back, and he turns around and sneers, and I see its the singer in his leather jacket and backwards baseball hat. Then he joins two dudes front and center dressed like the hockey Hansons, puts his arms around them and starts headbanging. Then perfectly on cue, jumps up, grabs the mic and sings "You know who you are!". I was still laughing at how my brother was ready to fight Johnny Hanson.

Hail Ye! Watched SLAP SHOT just awhile ago, haven’t seen it in ages. It was even better than what I remembered (it was one of the faves as a kid)! Also, thanks for the heads up re: Sly’s book! Been somewhat off the ”grid” of late…
