I've been a fan of actor Robin Askwith for many years, and have been fortunate to interview him live on stage three times. Attended his show in London last night (on his 72nd birthday) and was thrilled to hear Robin mention Julian on a number of occasions during his routine. It was all in relation to a conversation Askwith had with Stewart Lee recently: "here’s a great quote from Stewart… when we went for lunch, he said 'I’ve been talking to Julian Cope about you. And Julian said ‘I’ve got a theory about people like Robin. You’re very famous… then you’re a has-been. But, when you get through that, you become a legend…' ''
