I’m struggling to think of anyone who makes more intense music than Michael Gira. I say that in the nicest sense of the word. This is a fabulous album.

I'd have to say Diamanda Galas is possibly as intense, if not slightly more so. Some of her stuff is straight up harrowing.

This one of 'You Must Be Certain Of The Devil' is pretty catchy though...
