Various - I'm A Freak Baby 1, 2 and 3 Something about these compilations is just deeply satisfying. Perhaps the compilers are just very good at track ordering (the word escapes me... sequencing? Seems very pompous). Anyway, think it may be a "distinct working class culture" thing. Sentimental soul that I am. Richard and Linds Thompson - I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight. Pour Down Like Silver. Autumn kicks in and I barely notice the folky stuff creeping into my listening. Steeleye Span - Hark The Village... New Fast Automatic Daffodils- Body Exit Mind. Stockholm, a bit of craft went into that song. Jethro Tull - Benefit, Living In The Past, Stand Up. Luke Haines- Baader Meinhof Honeybus - She Flies Like A Bird (comp). Grant Hart - The Argument (remembered the title as The Convesation, and wondered why I couldn't find it...). A bit of redemption at the end for Grant. Pleased he got it down before the end. The Glitter Band - 20 Glittering Greats. Actually closer to three. Find even that legacy under a little of a shadow. Angel Face still sounds like it should have an afterlife. The Auteurs- After Murder Park.

Rico - Man From Wareika. Quite a few times in the last few days. Lovely bit of instrumental Reggae, with my man on trombone of all things! Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles - S/T. Bit late to the party. They were everywhere in my formative years but didn't dig then. Residents - Not Available Magik Markers - 2020 Magazine - Real Life - The Correct use of soap Low - Hey What Love and Rockets - Express. Reasonable project from some of the Bauhaus boys Lost Girls - Mennes... don't make me spell it all out. Loop - Heaven's End London Philharmonic Orchestra - Kashmir. Symphonic Led Zeppelin. Really enjoyed this from Peter Scholes aka jaz coleman? *EDIT* Apparently not. Thought there was some connection...

Nanocluster - Immersion Colin Newman and Malka Spigel’s new album is a collaborative affair with Tarwater, Laetitia Sadier, Ulrich Schnauss and Scanner all contributing to three tracks each. XL1 - Pete Shelley I loved this album on its release back in 1983, but hadn’t heard it in a long, long time. It’s obviously of its time but Shelley is, of course, such a great songwriter and it holds up really well. Also... Memory Device - Baba Ali Carnage - Nick Cave & Warren Ellis Self Civil War - Julian Cope Return To The 37th Chamber - El Michels Affair In Parallel (Reworks By CNCPT) - Emika & Paul Frick It-ness - Hox KG - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard 300 Degrees Of Simulated Stereo - Pere Ubu S/T - The Room In The Wood Behave Myself - She Drew The Gun Gliding EP - Malka Spigel Black & White - The Stranglers Fall To Pieces - Tricky Wail - Wailing Souls A Quick One - The Who

Sunroof - Electronic Musical Improvisations Vol:1 Rather good Berlin School bleeps and arps from Daniel Miller and Gareth Jones. https://sunroofmusic.bandcamp.com/album/electronic-music-improvisations-vol-1 The Dents - Live Cincinnati 79/80 Not to be confused with later Boston punk band The Dents. One of those acts that released one single then disintegrated, though on the strength of this live release, they deffo coulda been contenders. Early Blondie like catchy punk/new wave noises. Like it a lot. https://hozacrecords.bandcamp.com/album/1979-80-cincinnati Broadcast - Noise Made By People Know Autumn is on the cards when I start digging these folk out. Sisters Of Mercy - Wide Receiver Rough and ready collection of Bootleg demos of earlier tracks. As an old fan, I've not heard these before, I find them weirdly enjoyable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QyAvF7cwR4 Various Artists - Nuggets Box 4CD Stone cold classics and WTF silliness sit side by side. Primal Scream - Demodelica Pretty much fully formed songs, just minus that Weatherall/Patterson touch, the thought of a dance collab must have been there, as there's a Hypnotone remix of one of the tracks. Enjoyable insight, if not essential. Alan Vega - After Dark Various - Strain, Crack And Break - Music from The Nurse List. Vol:2 (Germany) I think I enjoy this more than the first (French) volume. Some wigged out but tasty shit fer sure. https://finderskeepersrecords.bandcamp.com/album/strain-crack-break-music-from-the-nurse-with-wound-list-volume-two-germany The Green Child - Shimmering Basset Moin - Moot If you're familiar with Finish band Circle's early post rock-eque work, there's much to enjoy here. Though one track ( I Can't Help But Melt) bears more than passing rhythmic resemblance to Circle track 'Kultaa' . https://m-o-i-n.bandcamp.com/album/moot Circle - Kultaa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL0a_oPRTPE Bubonic Plague – No Bosses No Bullshit Lofi post punk syhth noise CDr from 2005. If you enjoy Adult etc...this may yank yer chain. Fun Grave...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxvDTBIQCa4 There was an enjoyable Whistle Test concert of Fun Boy Three aired on BBC 4 the t'other night. Terry was his usual cheery self ;) Here's hoping they start a regular slot, they had some fab gigs on tele back in the day. I recall if you had a radio cassette or hi fi, they broadcast many concerts simultaneously on FM, so you could, ahem', tape em at the same time. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0010k2t Keep well y'all. x

EDIT: Also Dr Hook and Billy Joel. Just Blondie and Fun Boy Three for me.

Oooh cheers, will check out the Blondie. Like yourself, not so fond of the Dr Hook, so will give them a miss.
