Top 10 brain-frying rock'n'roll freakouts
Sep 02, 2021, 01:49
Considering the Old and New Testaments of rock'n'roll, I propose the following ones:

"Sister Ray" - The Velvet Underground

"Loved And Confused" - Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.

"Black Sky" - Mainliner

"Blind Baby Has It's Mother's Eyes" - Les Rallizes Dénudés

"Night Loner" (Live in San Francisco version) - Destruction Unit

"Demontain" - Ufomammut

"Coogan's Bluff" (full lenght version) - The Heads

"Ladybird"- Shit and Shine

"Interstellar Overdrive" - Pink Floyd

"Brainstorm" - Hawkwind

That's a great list. I'd have to think about mine, but for certain Gunslingers "Lighter Slinger Festival" would be on it.

Thanks, man.

And I like very much Gunslingers, with Antoine Hadjioannou and Matthieu Canaguier from Aluk Todol.

Gonna add this amazing version of Black to Comm from Gibus Club 1972. I thought the MC5 were basically dead by this point but the video says otherwise! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aJYUjcusIM

I'm Mad Like Eldridge Cleaver from '68 is also a great one.

For sheer brain bending repetitious intent Oneidas 'Sheets of Easter' takes some beating... (Many moons ago, when she was a little tiddler, my youngest just loved this track...probably explains her later ADHD diagnosis)
