Been changing 17 year old fused Suspension parts this afternoon. Thank god fer Plusgas release agent, else I'd still be out there. Had a real Stereolab head on me this week. I can go years without playing anything by them, then pig out fer a short while, then it's back on the shelf fer a few years. Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet This and Emperor Tomato Ketchup are responsible fer me buying just about everything they put out (except Sound Dust, which I still don't like. Stereolab - Emp Tommy Ketch/ Instant O in the Universe EP/ Dots and Loops/ Cobra and Phases, Aluminium Tunes. Don't play Instant O that often, but maaan, does the sound get dense in parts (in a good way, mind). Usually not that fussed with Alu Tunes, but hit the spot this week too. Broadcast - Tender Buttons /Ha Ha Sound/Pendulum EP Godflesh - Streetcleaner Ministry - Cover Up Daft/fun covers record. Esp love the 200 mile an hour drums on Roadhouse Blues. Circle - Alotus Having played this a fair deal over the years, I was surprised I actually noticed fer the first time that the guitarist makes a tiny bit of a fudge of the wonderful trancy geetar repetition on the first track. Fat White Band - Champagne Holocaust 2CD The Mystery Jets - Too Much Tension Sonic Youth - NYC Ghosts.../Rarities That's about all I recall. Looks warm this week, so hope you manage to enjoy the weather. Keep Well y'all! Edit: Found the music on this nature docu 'Flicker and Pulse' a good accompaniment to what was happening on screen, Was done by Wendy Rae Fowler, aka Mark Lanagans partner. 23 days left should it be your kinda thang. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09bdyrh

A Few Scattered Hours - Memory Drawings Memory Drawings is, according to discogs, the instrumental project of Minneapolis-raised, Morocco-based hammered-dulcimer player Joel Hanson and a member of Hood (which is how they came to my attention). And this, their most recent album (from last year), is rather beautiful. There’s a remix disc with it, too. I’m less keen on the last two tracks which feature vocals, but the other numbers are really good, too. To put it mildly. Rain On Lens - Smog First Smog/Bill Callahan album I ever bought and I’ve been a fan ever since. With titles like Natural Decline and Live As If Someone Is Always Watching You it is obviously hardly a barrel of laughs. Leaving Meaning - Swans I must have been very tired towards the end of the week. I fell asleep listening to this, which is no mean achievement. It’s one of the most intense albums I have ever heard. Seriously good, too. Remain In Light - Talking Heads I heard Listening Wind last week and though not normally one of my fave tracks from this classic album, it totally blew me away so I thought it was time I listened to the whole thing. The Great Curve sounded particularly good this week. Also… Radar Men From The Moon - The Bestial Light Bad / Badder 12” - Calibre & DRS V Mark Ernestus Yeti Season - El Michels Affair Jump Leads - Fila Brazillia Devils Juice EP - Interstellar Funk & Robert Valera Fame Monster / Fame - Lady Gaga The Blakk Rainbow EP - Karim Maas Tulips - Maston Nest / With, Beside, Against - Hania Rani / Portico Quartet (split 12”) Cosmic Truth / Higher Than High - The Undisputed Truth S/T - Warpaint

That is quite nice, and bearing in mind this..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dzo2bUKBlfc is one of my fav ever 'Lab' tracks, I guess I should like the album more, but it's just too 'country' in vibe fer my tastes. Esp when compared to my absolute fav album by them 'Cobra and Phases...' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyfbeE25SsU&list=PL5SMXYhIcZ5JgE5I7mEYT4TQJ1We1fOGw . Blue Milk is just sooo, Mmmmmmmmmm.

Motorpsycho – Kingdom Of Oblivion. The incredibly prolific Norwegians return with yet another double album of hard rock/psych prog. Includes a cover of Hawkwind/Lemmy’s ‘The Watcher’, which is even creepier than the original. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltBUtUSJGOE The Holy Family – s/t. The mighty Guapo return! Well, kind of. This is actually more of a musical collective headed by Guapo main man David J Smith with other band members – such as Kavus Torabi – contributing. And while there are some Guapo-esque moments here, the apparently semi-improvised music ranges from ecstatic folk to occult psychedelic incantations. Also very long, but definitely worth a listen: https://theholyfamilyuk.bandcamp.com/album/the-holy-family Oslo Tapes – ØR. Italian (and not Norwegian) avant electro-rock trio contemplate the black hit of space. A bit gothy in places, but some decent tracks, such as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDkLdHMoOK8 Godspeed You! Black Emperor – G_d’s Pee At STATE’S END Rural Tapes – s/t Dans Dans – Zink Robert Calvert – The Kid From Silicon Gulch Hawkwind – In Search Of Space / Leave No Star Unturned
