Someone from the FB group found a setlist where it was played October 16, 1982 by The Teardrop Explodes at University of Essex, Colchester, England. Well I'm impressed he was able to pull that off live perfectly. The recording isn't the clearest, but it's clear enough to tell he sang it just the same as the studio version. I would have thought it would be difficult to pull off that breath-intensive pitch-shifting chorus in the middle of two verses that really don't give him a chance to pause for a breath.
