Eat Static - Peel Sessions, Science of the Gods & Dead Planet. The middle one was my fav with its drum and bass infusions Earthling - Insomniac's Ball. Far more poppy affair than could be expected. More melodious than trip-hop tinged on this outing Du Blonde - Lung Bread for Daddy Dr Phibes - Dr Phibes and his clockwork Orchestra Drew Mcdowall - Collapse and Unnatural Channel Dreamtime - Tidal Mind DJ Hell - Teufelswerk Happy Mondays - Bummed, Pills and thrills... and the one about squirrels Ill - We are ill. Love the modern songwriting Inner City - Testament and Paradise. Saw some top of the pops doc about 1988 with them on too this week

I'm sick of the grey skies, nothing brings down my mood like a blanket of cloud in the winter. Hell, didn't eve get snow, which I do like, well to a point. Anywats.... Working Men's Club - Working Men's Club Nice EDM style fizzy electro chunkiness. Kinda remind me of Earl Brutus or The Pre New in sound. Good Stuff! https://heavenlyrecordings.com/artist/working-mens-club/ Coil - Musick to Play in the Dark V1/V2, Moons Milk bonus disc (Copal etc..), Astral Disaster, Ape Of Naples Looking forward to the remaster of MTPITD, no that it needs it really, just nice to see it finally getting an affordable re-release. Wish they'd do the same for the original Astral Disaster, as my copy got dropped in a bucket of water about 3 hours after arrival, and has been looking sad and bedragled ever since. Prob another recommendation for J Lamptoast, as the longer tracks are very much in the style of MTPITD, if a little more Ash Ra Temple in parts, esp first 'MU-UR'. MU-UR - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wELxaePMUfQ The Mothership & the Fatherland - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHc2dJg0ZhI The Sea Priestess - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCw6gqAgE2Q Tree Speak - Shadow Falls Nice Berlin school meets prog soundtrack vibe about this album. Perfect for journeys on grey winter days. https://www.treesspeakmusic.com/ Bowie - Live Birmingham NEC 1995 Some perfect takes on Outside period material here, but also that tendancy for Bowie to rethink classic tracks into terrible versions. So all in all mixed bag, but nice to hear the Outside stuff live, as I missed seeing it at the time. Ozric Tentacles - Space For Earth Wow, loving this. What a return to form. All the usual lush electronics and dub bass heaviness, and Ed's lovely guitar histrionics. Not a duffer on it, prob my fav Ozrics record since the nearly 30 years old 'Strangeitude'. https://kscopemusic.bandcamp.com/album/space-for-the-earth That's about it. Keep well y'all!.

FS, hope you're okay. Missing your reviews, especially the Beethoven. Anyway, just hoping all is well. D.

Jane Weaver – Flock. New one upcoming from the queen of, err, space rock? Well not quite this time, as it builds on the poppier tracks of Modern Kosmology… but on first hearing, doesn’t really match them. It could be a grower I guess… https://janeweaverfire.bandcamp.com/album/flock Daniel O’Sullivan & Richard Youngs – Twelve Of Hearts. Two blokes always worth lending an ear to, and on this collab, which is kind of future doo wop meets Eno-esque avant folk, they come up trumps, in spades (see what I did there?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bx-srjAwE0&list=OLAK5uy_kneknOgo55c1TRrrtxAEenM2pqEDQiWa4 Live Skull – Dangerous Visions. Sonic Youth’s old sparring partners return with a bit of a mish mash – some new songs, an old Peel session, a few comp tracks – but it’s very much worth a listen if you’re into that NYC mid-80s noise sound. And I’ve always loved this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S5c973z_OQ Anna von Hausswolff – All Thoughts Fly Jorja Chalmers – Human Again Hawkwind – Choose Your Masques David Bowie – Lodger. The Visconti remix. Listened on Spotify, and couldn’t tell any massive differences, but on saying that, I enjoyed it more than usual. I’d certainly take it over “Heroes”. Tangerine Dream – Green Desert Little Big Horn – s/t Flower Travellin’ Band – Satori Masters Apprentices – s/t Stray – Suicide. This and the two above are absolutely essential releases from 1971 The Liverpool Scene – Granada TV, February 1969. Because this can never be shared enough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86S-jlhLSqA
