First time I missed them due to over partying at ATP. I finally got to see him 10 years later in the East End, where a guy approaching his 80s managed to fill the dance floor with young people using his exotic sounds and dislocated rhythms.. Starting in the late 60s Silver Apples spearheaded electronic music stateside and were influential throughout the world, and if it wasn't for the man' could have been so much more. RIP
