Brian Eno - A Small Craft on a milk sea (w/Hopkins and Abrahams), The Pearl (w/Harold Budd), Thursday Afternoon, Apollo(w/Daniel Lanois and Roger Eno), On Land, Day of Radiance (w/Laraaji), Plateaux of Mirrors (w/Harold Budd)

Big Country - Steeltown, The Crossing, The Seer. The middle one is the only one I'll be returning to. Hadn't heard 'Look Away' in about 35 years. Was an avid chart listener in those days!

The Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk - Alpha. Bit of a fun in a Budgie Stylee

Beth Jeans Houghton - Hot Toast vol1, Yours Truly Cellophane Nose. Saw Du Blonde live last year at Sea Change so had to track these down. Not disappointed I did

Benjamin Zephaniah - Revolutionary Minds. Good merger of his poetic talents and some reggae dub

Automatic - Signal. From 2019. Sounds like a Factory recording from the early 80's. The kind of thing that Sweetcheat would like. Loved their 'Mind Your Own Business' single too which has that X-Ray Spex kinda vibe about it.

This week goes something like this......

Fujiya Miyagi - S/T
Coil - Unnatural History 1
Not been able to play this collection fer years, as it suffers slight disc rot, but was reluctant to throw away cos', well it was Coil (and the booklet is nice). 'New' DVD player read the disc with no trouble, something my multiple older CD players couldn't manage (even the now defunct Arcam). Stronger laser I guess?
Coil - Equinox/Solstice EP's
Circle - Alotus
The Advisory Circle - As the Crow Flies
Of all the nostalgia inflectected hauntological musics around, I think this album sums up the genre best. Along with this blog http://cottageofelectrichell.blogspot.com/
which is also a lot of fun... check out the great Children of the Drones comp fer more hauntological bleatings... http://www.mediafire.com/file/6cw0558oz85864x/Children_of_the_Drones_%25288-20-2007_5-51-27_PM%2529.rar/file. Active listener was (is...seems to be back?) a great music blog to trawl thru if you've time on your hands too. Like Copes Albums of the Month, there is much to delve into here, and Like Copes efforts, it's lead me to lots of cool stuff. http://active-listener.blogspot.com/
Tim 'Love' Lee - The Continuing Confessions Of Tim 'Love' Lee
Tom Waits - Mule Variations
Moon Duo - Mazes/ Stras Are The Light
Ultravox - Vienna
Visage - Visage
Tones on Tail - Pop
Various - In Search of Hawkwind
One of my fav 'tribute' to a band comps. I must have played Moon Duo's Suicide meets psych version of 'Hurry On Sundown' about 20 times in a row...what a perfect cover version. I've come to love the Hawkwind original album in recent times, but like the Banshees version of 'Dear Prudence', Moon Duo's version just pips the original to the post.
MD - HOS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WLNCo0tjD4

Keep well y'all (and Sane)!

Bent Arcana – s/t. Latest collab/jam band from Oh Sees John Dwyer, rocking a less flashy Miles Davis/Mahavishnu Orchestra vibe. Sounds nice in the background: https://johndwyer.bandcamp.com/releases

Household Gods – Palace Intrigue. Post post post-hardcore featuring Slint’s David Pajo, it’s worth a listen if you’re into that spiky pre-grunge US sound: https://householdgods.bandcamp.com/releases

Hawklords – Alive

Kavus Torabi – Hip To The Jag

The Left Outsides – A Place To Hide

Eloy – Planets

Groundhogs – Who Will Save The World?

Good work! You should always finish on de Bach, never on Debussy.
