I saw The Pretty Things supporting Status Quo at Manchester Belle Vue in 1975. At that time I was completely oblivious of their history as Stones contemporaries, etc. TBH I'd never even heard of them! They were great that night though. In fact, I was so impressed I bought Savage Eye, their album of that time, not long afterwards and I was a bit of a fan for a while. It's not really my cup of tea these days (apart from the lovely Sad Eye), but some of those early numbers are great. The one thing I remember about that night though is what a great frontman Phil May was.
