East of the Equator?

Hi, all. Forgive my lack of serious Teardrop Explodes credentials.

Can anyone fill me in on the track ‘East of the Equator’ 81 on the recent TE Cope’s Notes disc? Does anyone know where the backing track comes from? Is this song available anywhere in its ‘original form’?

It's on the remastered/extended edition of Wilder from 2013.

I haven't got either album to hand to compare.
