as a compulsive maker of repetitive musical loops, a song or tune that only has one or two chords in its entirety is a gift from the gods.
Just found one and enjoying learning how to play it. The song in question is wedding reception favourite, "Dance the night away" by the mavericks. Two chords, throughout. Verse, chorus, bridge. Two chords. I've transposed it to C-G7
Can't think of too many others off the top of my head, but suggestions are welcome.

And the further connection is …
Cabaret Voltaire's cover of the Seeds' "No Escape". The original had four chords but their version only had two.

I would think the Velvets but come to think of there is usually a third chord thrown in occasionally. "Heroin" probably has two. A lot of the early Spiritualized possibly and maybe some Spacemen 3?... Will need to dig them out and check ...

My main PC has broken. My wife has left me. And I miss that old machine so bad.
Thinking more on it, it's the repetition that's significant, more so than the limited palette of chords. Hence, She Sells Sanctuary, by The Cult. 3 chords. Stiff skeleton of D-C-G loop supporting the filigree lead and all the rest.
That looks like quite a useful resource by the way. Bookmarked for later.

Or you could learn The Great Dominions as Julian played it at Primavera 2014. He showed me the chords D, Am7.
