Seems the Reaper's now looking for drummers to accompany all those fine rock bassists he's taken from us in the last couple of years. Or maybe he just doesn't like musicians called Neil at the moment (Watch out, Shakey!):

Great, great drummer. I'll never forget Rush at the Newcastle City Hall on their 'Permanent Waves' tour of 1980, one of the best gigs I ever attended. RIP Neil, and thanks for the memories.

Thanks for posting this. Sad news.

Like so many and yourself, I cut my teeth on Rush. I'll never forget the impact 2112 made on my impressionable mind. I always had the highest opinion of Peart, not only as a drummer, but as one of the most outstanding lyricists in Rock. A true intellectual!
