Amazing, thanks! Have these session tracks turned up anywhere else in better quality? Not complaining, just great performances!

I guess its unlikely unless he did get tapes of all his sessions, this is one of the best i've heard. Thanks for taping it!

But that performance of "If You Loved Me At All" was on the Peggy Suicide tour single, so am guessing that Cope has or did have a tape/format of the 3 live songs played in that interview?

Yes it is! Can someone explain Pristeen to me - ive never really understood it cos I is thick innit. Is Pristeen 'Mother Earth' and is Cope singing from the perspective of some abuser? Baffles me every time I hear it.

I wasn't sure myself for sometime, but recently bought the double LP and is explained in the cover. You are on the right track. Quoted below: ... is about a man falling in love with the ideal woman, then living with her for a while and discovering she was not that way at all. He had merely projected his own image on her and his love gradually turns to loathing. It is metaphor for man's relationship with Mother Earth: at first we thought she was All-Giving Goddess. When we "discovered" that she was not, religions came that insisted in "dominion over the land". As Jim Morrison said "What have we done to the earth? ... tied her with fences and dragged her down".
