Just got back from the Seachange Festival. Highlights being: Du Blonde The Flamingods Ana Da Silva. So much did I enjoy her set that I bought her latest album collaboration - Island TV AM The Comet is Coming Michael Cumming's Oxide Ghost documentary about Brass Eye plus interview with Stewart Lee(missed SL's stand up along with a significant amount of others that didn't realise it had a separate ticketing for the gig) Anne Muller (German Cellist avec built loops) Elsewhere: Matt Berry - The Small Hours Master Musicians of Bukkake - Totem 3 Kasabian - West Pauper Lunatic Asylum. A bit too laddish and anthemic for some, but not for me Kula Shaker - Strange Folk Jesus & the Mary Chain - Stoned and Dethroned LAMF - Ambient Metal. Quite enjoyed revisiting this Cope project Mark Lanegan - Bubblegum

garerama wrote: The Stranglers - Black & White SNAP!! Badbea – Edwyn Collins I'd not bougth an Edwyn album in awhile but I heard the odd track here and there and thought I would dive it a go. It sits together very nicely. Are You A Dreamer? - Death & Vanilla Latest from D&V. Sounds really good on first listen. I Trawl The Megahertz – Prefab Sprout Previously credited to Paddy, this re-issue is now credited to his band for obvious commercial reasons. I had meant to get this at the time but for some reason never did. My loss. It's great. Still, better late than never! Also... Yup, I Trawl The Megahertz is a great record, and I really hope it gets the recognition it deserves this time round. Paddy got totally disillusioned with music after it got overlooked originally...glad he's got over it. Saw him at a Crimson gig last year looking very chipper.
