Johnny Cash - Love, God, Murder

Tim Hardin - Simple Songs Of Freedom
Tim Hardin - Suite For Susan Moore & Damion: We Are One, One, All In One
Tim Hardin - Bird On A Wire
Tim Hardin - Painted Head
Tim Hardin - Nine

Spirogyra - Bells, Boots & Shambles

Donovan - Open Road

Michael Rother - Flammender Herzen

Vangelis - Reprise 1990–1999

Thompson Twins - A Product Of...
Thompson Twins - Set

RSD 2019:
Elton John & Ray Cooper - Live From Moscow (nice to have this classic concert as a double LP, but some of the original broadcast's more interesting songs, e.g. 'Where To Now St Peter' & 'Ego', have been omitted, while some fairly tedious versions of over familiar songs have made the cut, and I'm sure the sound quality is better on the bootlegs. But when Elton & Ray rise to the occasion they do create an amazing sound at times, and Elton's extended improvisations at the end of 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' are of a kind I haven't heard him do elsewhere).
Desmond Briscoe - The Stone Tape (lovely artifact of one of the all-time great TV dramas on radioactive green vinyl and Jane Asher on the cover. What more could you want?)
Michael Chapman - Another Story (very handy vinyl sampler of his more recent song-based releases)

Genesis - Spot The Pigeon/3x3

Karuna Khyal - Alomoni 1985

People - Ceremony: Buddha Meet Rock

Kraftwerk - The Mix

Kate Bush - The Other Sides (very nicely packaged and compiled collection, with some odd omissions - 'The Empty Bullring' is missing, but if she was being selective Kate should have left off the mediocre 'Show A Little Devotion' which really isn't worthy of her. A very handy release nonetheless).

Jesus Christ Superstar - Original LP (Murray Head, Ian Gillan etc.) - Such a classic album, I could forgive ALW (almost) anything for having produced it.

Popol Vuh - Affenstunde
Popol Vuh - In Den Gärten Pharaos
Popol Vuh - Hosianna Mantra

Kluster - Klopfzeichen
Kluster - Zwei-Osterei
Kluster - Eruption

Sergius Golowin - Lord Krishna Von Goloka

The Beatles - Abbey Road

Far East Family Band - Tenkujin

It's hard not to want to play all his albums once you get started, although I wish there were more of his own compositions on the later ones as not all of the covers are well chosen. Must have been quite a thing to find him performing in a cafe during his years in England, not to mention being backed by Can at a concert in Germany.

More than I've listened to in quite a while this week

Fujiya Miyagi - S/T

Bowie - Stage

The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

Holy Sons - Decline Of The West/ Criminals Return

Hush Arbors - Yankee Reality
I picked this up cos' of the fabbo song on a Rough Trade Psyche Folk comp' years ago, called 'Fast Asleep'. So bought the album containing said track....it was shit. Played it again after many many years just to check again, and.......the album is shit (except for said track)...same happened with an early Mountain Goats song on another Rough Trade comp...bought the album again cos' of song, and again it sucked logs....It didn't sound anything like said record. I even wrote the guy to tell him so...I got a very pleasant reply from him, which was very nice, but didn't stop the album being shit still. The track was on one of those Counter Culture comps, and called 'See America, Right'.
Fast Asleep - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF-owwe9j44
See America Right - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM_9ekbAk7s

Black Mountain - In The Future

Echoboy - S/T
Forgotten what a wonderful kraut/pop record this is.

Cavern Of Antimatter - Void Beats....

The Fall - Real New Fall LP

The Pop Group - Honeymoon On Mars

The Residents - Duck Stab

Third Ear Band - Alchemy (2CD)

The Beatles - Anthology 3

The Moonlandingz - Interplanetary Class Classics 2CD

Circle - Hissi/ Alotus/ Pharoah Overlord

Wedding Present - Marc Riley sessions

Caribou - Swim

Thighpaulsandra - Practical Electronics

Cope - Barrowlands/Peggy/Jehovah....

The Phantom Band - Checkmate savage
Another record I'd forgetten how great it is. Turned a shit mood into a goody in just one play through.

Ultramarine - Signals Into Space
This is an obscenely good record, those guys have mellowed just right.

Can - Out Of Reach/ Egg Bamyasi/Unlimited Edition/ Soon Over Babaluma
Finally finished the damn Rob Young book after what feels like two years....maaaaan that guys writing is excruciating, it made it a real grind to get through (obvs). if I wasn't a fan, I wouldn't have read it, and I imagine that's the case for most peeps who pick it up, but it seems to me, to up his word count, he feels the need to describe how every bloody tunes goes....yes I ALREADY KNOW ROB!, I've heard them bloody hundreds of times. I read his other book Electric Eden a while back and found that a bit blah as well....I guess forwarned should have been forearmed.

Stephen Malkmus - Egg Bamyasi

Think that's about it. Have a nice day whatever you get up to!

Ha!! I saw him with Can in London - reckon we're rare birds. Trouble is he was so out of it I wish I hadn't. Also think it was the last gig before Holger left, duffed up by Rosko after the gig. He'd been on the desk, not playing.
