Leafcutter John – Yes! Come Parade With Us. Bloke on James Holden’s label, sounding not unlike JH, though a bit less cosmically intense, more trippily pastoral. Good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaCOvylhxks

Ty Segall – Deforming Lobes. I really liked Manipulator, but not been that impressed by anything I’ve heard since. And there’s something about his voice that irritates me. Plus, piss-poor version of Cherry Red, despite what the reviews say, mainly because it is impossible to improve on the original.

Mint Field – Mientras Esperas. Mexican shoegazing people turn the dial to ‘dreamy’. Is nice: https://mintfieldil.bandcamp.com/

Modern Nature – Nature EP. More young men on a pastoral hypnotic tip, but again, this is rather good, and features a member of BEAK> … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIMnkaujEeU

The Hardy Tree – Stagdale EP. Clay Pipe Music founder Frances Castle produces a library-tastic accompaniment to her upcoming graphic short story… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8tUI2vp8Cs

Time Grove – More Than One Thing

The Comet Is Coming – Trust In The Lifeforce Of The Deep Mystery

Frankie & The Witch Fingers – ZAM

The Budos Band – V

Robert Aeolus Myers – Talisman. Comp of new age Hawaiian bloke, pleasant, Tangs-lite stuff.

VA – Jobcentre Rejects
