So anyone else listened yet? Sound is sympathetic if not massively different to the original release (only listened the once as yet). Non of the original poems, pics or insert fold out info is included, which I thought was odd. Booklet is all a bit meh...a potted history of Cope up to and just after Autogeddon's release. Nice bit written by Thipe. I hadn't realised what a catalyst Cope had been to Thipes musical adventures with Coil, Spiritualized, solo stuff, et al. In hindsight it makes me a little sad they didn't do more together, they seemed to be a good foil for each another. My cheap amazon copy of the vinyl set has been delayed as out of stock. It’s apparently arriving 22/7-8/8 which is frustrating. I guess that’s the risk of taking it at a much lower price point
As long as it includes all of the goodies then I suppose it’s all good and I’m a patient and tolerant man.

Just had my Amazon order cancelled as "We are no longer able to obtain stock from the supplier". Would imagine that means supplier unwilling to part with so many copies at a sensible reduced price eh? Sigh

I listened to the remastered CD today.
The sound is much louder than the original CD. Sometimes painfully so. I will probably end up deleting the remastered files and just stick with the older ones, which I find more pleasant to listen to.
I haven't looked at the booklet yet.

Its was a Roller Coaster ride.
I really wanted the new Autogeddon box.
I didn’t want to pay the outrageous original too-high price….so I waited.
Then that awesome Amazon deal came along selling it for around 30 bucks….I jumped on that.
I was quickly depressed when I got the e-mail that the order was cancelled.
A few days later Amazon sends me a 5 dollar off coupon as an apology for the cancelled order.
I search Amazon.uk for the box just for fun, and I see it for 60.
So, I order it and use my coupon, finally justifying the (still high) price.
It arrived yesterday, and it is big, bright and beautiful.
I only got as far as playing side 1, but it was great so far.
The LP is H-E-A-V-Y….at least 180g, but heck, could be a 205g for all I know.
It played dead quiet (and there are a lot of quiet passages during)…pops bring me out of the mood, but this played nice and I was enthralled with eyes closed.
There was some high end noise (which may have always been there).
No complaints from me.
I look forward to reading the short book & playing the rest.
Can’t wait to play Conspiracist Blues (the label & is boring on that)
