Ooh, great. I always actually preferred them to the Res, probably because they have a better knack for zeroing in on The Almighty Hook, albeit after caking it in all manner of bizarrity. I wonder if that rare/unreleased stuff includes this album. Hambu Ho Do Tak Awa. Seeing it there on their discog, barren of all discussion and ratings, has always left me insanely curious.

Strange no re-release of the elbow is taboo? To me that was the high point of R & L it was accessable to the uninitiated without alienating those in the know.im not sure if it was the last realease but I think it was, lots of listens in clouds of smoke back in the day.

My favourite, too. Apparently they spent years and years on that thing. Perhaps partially through a lack of material (one of the best songs is a cover of a track by the French Residents-alike, Ptose), but obviously also because they were on some perfection trip. I think it may have temporarily busted their relationship, though. There's a mini-doc on youtube about them doing a soundtrack to a fairly recent movie where they seemed fairly cool with each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aClQWio3ngM

Jan 19, 2016: [Renaldo] Klanggalerie have now announced that the re-issue of Elbow Is Taboo is due to be released on Feb. 20th. It is a remastered version with, as usual, a bonus disc. The bonus is called Elbonus (what else could it be called) and brings together previously released non-album tracks like the 12†Hambu single, Haul On The Bowline and Then At Iona Lanthem and unreleased material, some of which is old and some of which is very new. Pre-order here!
