Edgar Froese - Solo (1974-1983) The Virgin Years

Just got this. Seem to be remastered but not butchered, sounds great infact. Booklet not up to much but £11.99 for 5 albums on 4 cd's can't be argued with.

No Macula Transfer which is a shame but Aqua, Epsilon, Ages, Stuntman and Pinnacles are all present. I'm paying mostly for a proper playable version of Epsilon but there are good tracks throughout.

i just not clear if these are Froese's updated versions or original.

after the original cd transfer were done Froese pulled a Zappa and re-recorded parts for the 2nd generation of transfers

Original versions, none of Froese's later vandalism. Sound has been cleaned up but not to a degree that irritates. I really am very happy with them. Epsilon is worth the money alone. Have no fear.

Macula was on Brain/Manikin hence it's non inclusion , it needs reissuing !

Glad to see this is coming !

Aqua & Ypsilon both have unique
mixes in their Brain issues i believe ,
would be nice to have those out too

bit of info , a few bonus tracks

Wish i knew this was on the way :(

just bought a uk cd issue of stuntman last week (the non-re recorded version that is)

would have held out and re bought these if they're not the re-recorded versions.

I've never actually got past Macula Transfer, what's stuff like Stuntman like?

Like 1980's tv music. I keep expecting Karl Sagan to start talking about the wonders of the universe. No. The comedy series Look Around You. That's what it sounds like. And that's why I like it.

Fair bit of treated guitar.
