I've been mentioning this name an awful lot in the Soundtracks threads for the past while, because this is pretty much my favourite project on the go at the moment. So I figured I'd start a thread about this guy & share some of his music with you. Since 2008, he has been releasing (out of the UK) absolutely massive out-of-body psych-drone magic (mostly on cassette), but as of early 2010, ceased going through labels to release his music & started uploading complete unedited versions of all his latest jams on a free online archive, which can be found here (http://www.wix.com/tuluumshimmering/tuluum-shimmering). There's an absolutely enormous amount of TRULY UNSUNG homemade/DIY music on there, which visitors to the site are encouraged to download, listen to, rip, put on disk and share as they please. If you're curious as to what this all sounds like *, think lazy & languid river-lounging rhythms, meandering flute lines, rest-easy blissed out 'new age' drones, ritualistic, looping, repetitive, meditative, sacred & trance-inducing stuff that will you put you completely at ease (that also evokes strange rainforest & jungle landscapes). * OK, so I suck at writing blurbs & descriptions. So instead of reading what I have to say, read this interview with the man (the only interview, actually) http://musiquemachine.com/articles/articles_template.php?id=190 to see where he's coming from. & then make sure to check out the recordings on his archive http://www.wix.com/tuluumshimmering/tuluum-shimmering . Lastly, here's one of the aforementioned tapes for you all to try: Tuluum Shimmering - Longhouse Spirits Gather For Fragrant Island River Dreams : http://www.mediafire.com/?qdnddzzekyy (Ltd. to 50 copies & totally Out of Print, so consider it a guilt-free download). If any of you are as moved by this stuff as I am, & want to hear more of his older OOP tapes, just send me a message & I'll be happy to oblige. Right, that's it. Thanks, I guess.

Here is a quicker way to get right to the archived material (also a great site for Grateful Dead audience recordings BTW): http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Tuluum+Shimmering%22 Checking it out now!

Apologies for bumping an old/dead thread, but I uploaded this today to fulfill a request on another forum so I figured I might as well share. Hopefully someone will appreciate these links: Tuluum Shimmering - Heart of Sky Heart of Earth C90 (Housecraft 2010, 320kbps) http://www.multiupload.com/W3B5OE0KHA & here's his newest (and apparently last ever) official release: Tuluum Shimmering - Flowers Are Offered C94 (Rotifer 2010, 256 kbps) http://www.mediafire.com/?gairkx6r3gz42ea
