This is kinda why I've never understood folk saying the like or dislike* a specific genre. They're never all good. And, I'll be there's something in there'd tickle you.

Huge statement alert! Why is 'pop' being singled out? You could surely say the same about other genres, inc rock. I can't see that Lady Gaga is any less 'art' than Motorhead to pick an example I like rather than one I don't.
