I do see what you mean, and if you REALLY REALLY rate a band, record, or whatever, it is sometimes difficult to express your admiration without being a bit sort of evangelical about it. For instance, I find it very difficult NOT to rave about the MC5 without using phrases such as 'one of the best bands ever' when it might be that other people think 'they're ok but not really my cup of tea'. Still, that's what discussions are made of I suppose.
