True. Once you've listened a few times and you start to hear beyond the wall of distortion there are some classic songs buried in there - but it takes a while to find them, whereas the Mary Chain's Phil Spector / Beach Boys influences were always pretty obvious from the get-go. In some ways the fact that APTBS take a while to grow on you makes them a more rewarding long-term listening experience, though.
