Argh. Just given them a listen and like it a lot. Hope its a good gig, can't make it myself - if only I'd read this thread earlier!

True. Once you've listened a few times and you start to hear beyond the wall of distortion there are some classic songs buried in there - but it takes a while to find them, whereas the Mary Chain's Phil Spector / Beach Boys influences were always pretty obvious from the get-go. In some ways the fact that APTBS take a while to grow on you makes them a more rewarding long-term listening experience, though.

Great lads and great band! Friends with 2 of those blokes before that band came together so I have a vested interest. Heheheh! They've been on nonstop tour for some time now, keepin the rock alive!
