LP’s…
GITHEAD – Headgit ep
Need to get the new album!

JULIAN COPE – Rite 2

ITAI – Now
Again! Latterday John Lennon fans would like it.

SMOG – Supper
Looking forward to hearing their newie.

STEREOLAB – Oscillons From The Anti-Sun
Fluorescences or however they spell it, was one of my fave records of the 90’s. Also watched the DVD this week, too. Played the The Word performance of French Disko again straight afterwards. It’s what got me into them in the first place. Superb…

V/A – Beyond Punk
Recent-ish freebie with Mojo, with the likes of Non-Alignment Pact and Kidney Bingos, though it was Siouxsie’s Mirage that I enjoyed most this week.

SAUL WILLIAMS – Saul Williams
Dark, powerful, intense.

BILL WITHERS - + Justments
Bought as a result of the soul thread here. Just as good as I remembered, with the opening track being particularly good.

45’s
BLACK BASQUE – Times A Factor
I’ve seen this Manchester band a couple of times this past month, and been very impressed both times. Repetitive, thrashy, shouty. Picked up their 7” single the other night. Doesn’t really capture them, but I like it.

THE KILLS – Love Is A Deserter
Not been a massive fan of these, but this a great single. A less poppy Raveonettes.

THE NIGHTINGALES – Devil in the Detail
Still the best single of the year for me.

SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES – Christine
Hadn’t heard this in a long time. Surprised how good it’s sounding.
