While I recognize the sad fact that, say, American or British special interest groups can legally disinform the public to influence the outcome of an election in their own countries, I can't accept the right of a foreign power to do so.

The USA interferes in EVERY foreign election. Their military bases ring the world in multitudes*. Every area of the World us divided into strategic blocks which fall under their sphere of influence and self interest, ie:

Africa Command, Central Command, European Command, Indo-Pacific Command, Northern Command, and Southern Command (of course there is also the non- terrestrial Space Command!).

To those who take for granted America's inviolable right to interfere in elections abroad, but are somehow aghast at the idea of any foreign government doing the same to us (aside from Israel, of course)... good news!! It's recently come out that Crowdstrike, the shady group which examined the DNC servers on behalf of the FBI, admitted that there's no evidence Russia hacked the DNC to give emails to Wikileaks:

So strange that this crucial bit of information never came out two years ago when anti-Russian hysteria was full-blown! But now that it has, perhaps all forward-thinking Mo-Fo's can at last rally behind the righteous cause to free Assange?
