Oops! No apologies necessary I wager. I too have been lavishing self of late with a goodly dose of the Master Munro. Something about autumn nights makes me desire to be hunkered under quiltage with a stout malt and some 'Complete Saki.', tempered on alternate nights with some M.R. James, brrrr.

Actually that's a good point, and I did actually ask Mike a while backif he communicated with oother retiles, and whether theirlanguage had a shared etymology. No replies forthcoming yet I'm afraid, neither regarding his "Jacobson's Organ or not?".
Ho hum. Maybe I can't read the replies because I'm being ignorant, though they actually exist on some 'reptoid awareness-level' and hence are perfectly legible to the open-minded?

I haven't got the time (and certainly not the inclination) to dig back through the TMA list, but I wonder if there is a period of inactivity from mike during the winter months.
I'm no expert on any animals, but I seem to recall that lizards hibernate when the weather turns a bit chilly.
