Have a look at our new site theme, inspired by your good selves: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/ If you're a member and have your own theme set, go to 'Your Account' and set the theme to Pixie to have a look at it. Happy New Year :-) Andy

Hi Andy! Some of the text isn't showing up with the new MP theme. I'm using IE6 on my Dad's PC (Windows 2000) and I can't get at the info, only headings and links. Here's the page I was trying to look at: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=4755 Kammer x

Cripes! Has everyone gone colour mad?? I've got the same problem of text not showing up, only the links. If you drag your mouse over the whitespace the text IS there - it's just white on a white background. -Chris

OK, you might have guessed that one's not sticking around that long. I'll be adding a set of new themes, so read on, especially if you find bright themes headachey: The first of the new themes is called Megalithic_Green. It just uses tables of solid colour so should work quite a bit faster than the previous ones. It's now in the list of themes for you to try out if you have a login to the Portal. Have a look at http://www.megalithic.co.uk/user.php , which is also the place to apply for a free membership. Choosing colour schemes is not my best attribute (ask my wife!) so I thought I'd open it up as a competition for people to show off their interior design skills. You can see a screen capture of the test theme here: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=My_eGallery&file=index&do=showpic&pid=2203&orderby=dateD or if that wraps you want to go to My_eGallery (LH menu) Home >> People >> Theme Gallery To design a new theme, download the screen capture above, open it in any paint program and use flood fill to fill in your own colour scheme. Submit your design to the eGallery, or e-mail back to me (JPG or GIF please) and I'll post the best ones for the Portal regulars to choose the new themes. There will be a prize of a choice of CD-ROM for the winner, and books to the value of £10 from our online shop for two runners up. My decision is final on the best colour schemes and the closing date for entries is the end of Sunday 5th Jan 2003. Othen Portal News while I'm writing: 500 new Megalithic and Prehistoric sites added to our map and database Museums now listed on the map too Loads of new photos added Sale now on in our shop. Andy

Speaking of stuff on this page, The Aubreys - Hillfort in Hertfordshire http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=4755 I'm not sure how it got an access score of 5 (best). Can you really drive to the top? 5 is supposed to be for full disabled access, doesn't sound that likely with a hillfort. I'll stand to be corrected though... Cheers Andy
