I really enjoyed reading that blog and will come back to it I'm sure. There is a lot to see in Northern Ireland (your friend's standing stones in the field of maze would be impossible to find if they hadn't seen them at an earlier time). It does seem Julian Cope left Northern Ireland out of The Modern Antiquarian. I also have The Megalithic European - he has a section on Ireland but Northern Ireland omitted. It was published in 2004 when the Troubles of N.I. were still quite raw. Perhaps he might consider revisiting it one day.
