Stigma - A Ghost Story
Jan 07, 2022, 22:25
On the BBC iPlayer until Wednesday.

Not a great ghost story by any means, but lots (lots!) of shots of Avebury and a quick view of Silbury Hill.

I know there are folk on here who like to log this stuff.

A wet afternoon so sat down to watch Stigma - what a curious little film. Set very near perhaps within Avebury stone circle. Can't place the house as such but am sure there are two or three that fit the bill.

Moving a sarsen stone in the garden was central to the story - if that was actually a genuine sarsen (probably not) then it was an interesting exercise to watch. I'm not going to give the story away here but I would say worth watching to see Avebury, and Silbury, circa 1977. And hear the Rolling Stones too ...

The past is a foreign country but Avebury remains more or less the same.
