OT crossing a country in a straight line!

Off topic I know and nothing to do with stones but I thought I’d post this link. Guessing a few folk will have seen it already.

A man’s attempt to cross an entire country in a straight line

I know that most of us will have had the odd problem with access to stones over the years. Watching these videos (there’s 4 episodes uploaded so far) I was in constant fear, worrying that a farmer would get him. Strangely compulsive viewing. Whether he should be doing what he was doing to the fences and hedges is a different story, though you have to give him his dues for trying to stick to a straight line

Saw bits of that. Think Nicolas Crane did something similar walking the English Meridian many moons ago...there's a nice book he wrote about it 'Two Degrees West'....https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/1352462.Two_Degrees_West

Well. I stuck with viewing the whole thing (but like Tom Davies, had a necessary break in the middle.)

I like his spunk, as they used to say. I know he did his homework on Google Earth but I was amazed that he didn't come MORE unstuck at some point.
