Copywrite on photos
Apr 11, 2018, 13:37
I am writing a small book on the barrows of NE Somerset and I would like to use a couple of photos from the site, some by Chance in particular. I am publishing some of the Rev Skinner's drawings for the first time and I would like to place recent photos beside them.
The print run will be 500 or less and the project will be non-profit making. Any idea on how to ask permission?

Also any idea how to contact Silent Earth as they have no contact details on their site,
cheers chaps,

Hengist

FAO Chance - Copywrite on photos

I think we all own our own copyright on stuff we post on here, so you'd need Chance's permission to use his photos. He hasn't posted for a little while (hope he's alright) but he might keep an eye on the forum so fingers crossed he'll see this.

Failing that his profile has a YouTube link that looks like it might get you to him.

Your book sounds interesting by the way, good luck with it :)

Silent Earth is most easily contacted via his facebook page of the same name

Thanks for that, I have found him on U Tube and sent a message so with a bit of luck he will find it. I will post about the book nearer the time,
Regards,
Mick

Good luck. He's away at the moment, so you may get a delayed reply.
