I am writing a small book on the barrows of NE Somerset and I would like to use a couple of photos from the site, some by Chance in particular. I am publishing some of the Rev Skinner's drawings for the first time and I would like to place recent photos beside them. The print run will be 500 or less and the project will be non-profit making. Any idea on how to ask permission? Also any idea how to contact Silent Earth as they have no contact details on their site, cheers chaps, Hengist

I think we all own our own copyright on stuff we post on here, so you'd need Chance's permission to use his photos. He hasn't posted for a little while (hope he's alright) but he might keep an eye on the forum so fingers crossed he'll see this. Failing that his profile has a YouTube link that looks like it might get you to him. Your book sounds interesting by the way, good luck with it :)

Silent Earth is most easily contacted via his facebook page of the same name

Thanks for that, I have found him on U Tube and sent a message so with a bit of luck he will find it. I will post about the book nearer the time, Regards, Mick

Good luck. He's away at the moment, so you may get a delayed reply.
