Not the greatest granite tors, but I love them. Oh, nearly forgot this little one (collapsing somewhat now). This has a very old face carved on it and a much later cross.

There's a passage tomb about 800m - 1km away or so and on the valley floor below (Glencairn!) there used to be many, many more tombs and settlements. The latter were still present in 1836, now there are just Barrat homes :-(

Check out the Glaskenny rock outcrop above it (solid quartzite mass) and the Onagh rock art.

A straight line from the rock out crop, over the rock art crosses over these http://www.megalithomania.com/show_site.php?site_id=476 (eastward) and out to sea.

I can imagine standing at the rock art slab, itself like a mini-altar angled to the east slightly and watching the sun hit the white face (cleaned and polished?) of the quartz outcrop. Ooh heck! I've gone all new age!
