Its funny you should mention black pudding, becuase im about to publish something I started working on when I was doing a home economics GCSE, 27 years ago, concerning the very very very very very subtle effect upon the energy within the heavily cupmarked stone at Ballymeanoch if you hit it at a steady rate with a small black pudding. (heated) Could we get some pics before publication or might that damage sales ? Are you trying to financially ruin me? You could have responded with something more helpful than "are you trying to nick my pension". secondly, you could write a book if you wanted to. if you feel you couldn't due to spelling and/or grammar problems, those can be straightened out by asking somebody to review as you write and correct those mistakes. I'm sure many people have done that in the past. thirdly, nobody 'led me on' to taking the piss. Thank you for recognising that I'm a decent sort of person, but I do have quite a wicked sense of humour to go with it and the whole thing began to seem farcical to me which is why I joined in with those posts. Without wishing to sound pompous, I consider myself to be quite knowledgable and more knowledgable than a fair few on forums like this but I don't come here and try to desperately give everybody the impression that I know it all, a) because I dont and b) I imagine that would be very irritating. It is much more useful to me to be a "student" on these forums rather than "teacher" because there is ALWAYS something to learn. Everybody here is interested in this subject, so they will have read books, have ideas etc and if they are willing to share that knowledge, I can benefit from it. If you had seized the oppotunity to explain you could have impressed everybody here but you chose not to. This arrogance founded on ignorance leads a few to think they have found solutions /explanations which ultimately never stand up to scrutinty . You won't be the first to think that they have "explained "rock art but like all the other glib simplistic or downright daft ideas you will be wrong .Don't prodcuce the evidence and it will never shown to be wrong and you can continue to live in your fantasy .Produce the evidence if it wrong and it will be torn apart ,that is real life and science , don't whinge about it .If it is correct , wonderful ,one small step forward .You don't deal with criticism or shown to be wrong very well , I imagine you ran away from that at school , ever play any sports , if so how do you handle losing ?

Hey thanks Roy that's really nice of you, and i'm glad i haven't upset you, as i do feel a connection to you, and do care what you think [ you can probably tell i don't many people! ], like i said even if you don't agree with something you always try to keep an open mind about everything, this is a precious gift you have, i hope you have read how i had my life turned around [on this thread], that night stays with me all the time and i live my life with it always on my mind, as to chatting i'd have to learn how it works and if your ever down this way again and need a hand with anything [eg finding stuff and general help] just give me a shout, as i'm pretty much always free, as after the missus and kids i've devoted my life to these stones [a living sacrifice if you like!], and i do like eye to eye chats a lot because you don't get crossed wires as much, [ i think we could both chat a bit ] when you was down the last time it was only because our dogs are mental that i didn't offer you to put your tent [ i think thats what you had ] in our garden, therefore saving the campsite money , like i said before i think you seem a really great guy, you could teach a few people [me included] a thing or to about disagreeing politely.

A look at the volume and content on this thread provides a good example of how self centred people can become when they think that their experiences are what is important rather than the prehistory itself . Much of it is reminiscent of the callow youths who believe they have just invented sex except in this case it is a callow adult trying to teach a granny to suck eggs typically unaware of how there are people here who have consumed greater quantities and greater variety before he was born . Small signs of an improvement in communication in terms of less use of “endearments “ .
