West Kennet Long Barrow

Just paid my first visit. Fantastic site. Is the shape of the Longbarrow deliberately phallic ? Given it's position in the landscape and the fact that soil was buried here aswell as bones I wondered if it was a fertility symbol for the crops and a site of rebirth for the dead. Any thoughts ?

I guess I always thought it was more womb-like than phallic, with an entry to an interior chamber and all. Either way, it seems it could represent fertility or rebirth...
