the threat to nine ladies has now been removed. the quarrying company has announced that they have decided against going ahead with their plans and have apparently 'unconditionally' withdrawn there plans.

The protesters don't seem to think the area is safe! I was there over the weekend and met a few people from the camp. The gist of the conversation was that the quarrying company aren’t going ahead with their plans as they’re going to be taken over by a bigger company more likely to have the finances to proceed. (A tale recounted clasping a large bottle of cider!) Anyone know any more?
