Should this be SX and not SW? It appears mid-atlantic at the moment... that's quite a bridge!

You're right there Oci, but more to the point, isn't this a medieval site anyway? There are no positively identified prehistoric bridges left in Britain. It does look lovely, mind :-) "because of the simplicity of their construction their age has often been over-estimated, but it is unlikely that many surviving examples are earlier than the 14th century." Megalithic, but not megalithic. I mean big stones, but not necessarily that old. K x

I thought it looked a bit odd, as I hadn't seen any others on TMA (eg Dartmoor). Hopefully Hob will do the decent thing then, before the threatened cull.

It was just such a lovely set of stones. Sigh.

It would settle the argument about who got to the Americas first.

I`ve just had a look on the map browser and the bridge is still there, crossing the Atlantic.

Not I apparently. Though I really thought I had. I'm easily confused.

In case anyone should wonder what this thread is all about, here's an attempt to resolve the confusion. This thread was originally associated with a site called 'Treveniel Clapper Bridge' which has since been deleted. As a result, the thread has reverted to being categorised as 'general'. K x
