Cope Songs I Don't Recognise

An old internet resource lists an MTV broadcast of a show by Julian at The Ritz, New York on 28/02/1987 or 06/04/1987 (sources vary).
The set list includes “The Garden” and “Bethlehem Girl”.
Any clues?

When I read your post, I knew instinctively that "The Garden" must be a reference to the improvised lyrical poetry that lead into "World Shut Your Mouth."
As for "Bethlehem Girl," it's a reference to the improvised "emitting" during the latter part of "(I've Got) Levitation."
Hey, I was there, man. Just for the record, it was Feb 26, 1987.
