Cope song identification - help please
Jan 23, 2020, 18:49
I recorded a song off the radio in 1991/2 whenabouts Julian Cope was doing a radio session with Campbell or Radcliffe. I have never been able to identify it, but can't believe it is by anyone else.

The first line of the chorus features the words:

..dreaming in the pouring rain, dreaming on the left side of my brain...

The second verse starts:

10000 horses, 10000 men, marched up a hill and they fell back down again....

The song gives way to an instrumental in the second half.

I love Cope's music, I've seen him live and would dearly like to identify this song. I have an MP3 of it which lacks the first verse.

Anyone - please...

Any chance of posting the mp3 somewhere? None of the lyrics ring and bells here so I have a feeling it isn't a Cope song but was maybe another artist/band played during the show.
