My favourite MC5 album of all time is still the first one I ever bought, being quite late on this revolution-train, Thunder Express; a compilation of their last ever live performance (on a French TV) and their first two singles ('I can only give you everything' and 'Borderline', complete with vinyl surface noise). The live stuff has all the usual hits (though nothing from High Time) including a rifforama extravoganza 5 minute solo bit in the middle of Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa, a cover of The Stones 'Empty Heart' and the song 'Thunder Express', apparantly unavailable anywhere else, oh yes; an Odin ode. Nothing to lose, tight as 'owt, and a great sound. Sacre Bleu. Totally top and ace yes. Good sleeve too.
