I always enjoyed the Stranglers version of Walk on By. In fact they still do a cracking live version.

One think I enjoy about watching Glastonbury or any other live sets is that sometimes a band will unexpectedly throw a cover in the set, sometimes of something you would not expect paired up with the genre of music the band play (see above I guess). This year I watched Hot Chip and enjoyed the set. It's on I-player. Fast forward to the end and you'll hear them play a cracking version of Dancing in the Dark. I wouldn't pair them with Springsteen and there's a lot of his stuff that leaves me cold, but it really worked.
