But that's just great idea!
Have to try it out when i'm finally able to listen to the cd that's waiting for me...
edit: Though the weather conditions and the geography are a bit off. Eyjafjallajökul and Grimsvötn gave some excellent footage couple of years ago...
An elegant (though eruptive) and evocative piece of writing as well!!

Is "Resin A" not a killer? I've re-spun that epic on repeat many times in the past week -- Sometimes while viewing an internet slide show of Pompeii plaster casts. (Which was an insane idea.)
'Tis killer, but I must admit, though I love your visual descriptions of the music, I never actually equate the sonics with images when I'm listening. For me it's pure sound, and I just let my mind wander. Kind of like the reverse of visual art, I love looking at it, but I couldn't think of how to describe my reaction.

looks like its in the merchandiser right now with a 10 minute sample of the second track. Sounds really good. My favorite JC things of the past 10 years have been things like Odin or the Rite series so this is promising for my tastes.
