Just found this piece on Killed By Cars and thought you might be interested. Sounds like a child practising their first ever drum beat along to tactical radio dial shifting. Weirdly compulsive, that's for sure.

Thought a few bands did the Sampling thing before this. Particularly remember The Silver Apples' Radio track doing a slightly similar thing (albeit with far less purpose, as I don't think they actively chose any of the samples so much as just threw on the radio in the middle of a piece). John Fahey also went through a bit of a samply musique concrete phase. Will have to find this whole record if I can.
