Had no clue this was out and Magazine are probably my favourite British band from that era along with the Pop Group. No idea how I missed it then again I don't read the music press and I don't listen to 6 Music so chances are I would only know about it through world-of-mouth or word-of-message-board. Anyway I must buy it. Devoto could wipe the floor with any other lyricist of that period so sad to hear it may be a bit sub standard on that front.

BTW totally agree on Joy Division's debut. The pacing and a lot of the dynamics are total Sabbath. Me, I am more a second side of Closer fan. Based on that album, they were on schedule to end up as the world's second best Goth band after The Sisters. No small thing that!
